Procedure for Vegan Paleo Friendly Crispy Cauliflower Sandwiches

  • Take a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or place a wire baking rack above the baking sheet. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  • Slice the cauliflower into 4 pieces of one-inch streaks.
  • Take 2 cups of breadcrumbs and toast them by heating a pan on medium heat and adding the breadcrumbs to the hot pan along with 2 tbsp of oil. Stir it properly for about 5 to 6 minutes until the breadcrumbs become crisp. Remove from the stove.
  • Take a wide-mouthed bowl and add milk and lemon juice to it. Take 1 ½ cup arrowroot powder in another bowl. A third bowl should also be taken where the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper should be added and mixed properly.
  • Take one cauliflower streak at a time. Coat it completely in arrowroot flour and tap it to remove excess flour.
  • Then put the streak into the milk and lemon mixture and then coat it with arrowroot flour once again followed by milk and lemon mixture.
  • Finally, coat it with breadcrumbs and place it on the baking sheet prepared initially. All the cauliflower steaks should undergo the above steps and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes. Check it once, flip it and bake for another 20 minutes. Baking is done until the top of the cauliflower turns crispy. You can check it by inserting a fork into it that should not stick and should go through easily.
  • Take out the cauliflower from the oven.
  • Now it’s time to assemble the sandwiches. Take a bun, cut it midway and add one cauliflower streak, add mayo, green lettuce, pickles, red onions, and tomatoes to it. Sprinkle paprika.
  • Close the bun. If you need, you can use a toothpick to close it properly.
  • Eat fresh.

  • The bowls took to keep the arrowroot powder or the milk and lemon mixture or the breadcrumbs should be wide-mouthed so that cauliflower can lay flat in it and can be coated properly. One
  • streak should be handled at a time as they can easily break.
